The Kensington SlimBlade could very well be called the Ferrari of the trackballs. Expensive, it looks utterly amazing and is full of cutting edge technology. I used to use it as my daily driver for many years, and I love it, but it takes a daredevil to actually buy this as your first trackball.
With its fantastic scroll ring and low price, the Kensington Orbit Trackball has completely won me over as the Best Value trackball mouse currently available. Trackballing your way around the computer screen was never this smooth.
The Kensington Orbit Optical is another beginner’s trackball. Similar to the Logitech Marble (ambidextrous design, low price) but also different. Personally, I would go for the Logitech Marble, but if you’re looking for an affordable, simple, comfortable trackball to do basic computing (browsing internet, email, writing Word documents, etcetera) this could be your first trackball mouse.
This is the trackball that started it all for me. This the easy way to enter the wonderful world of the trackball. Very cheap, but also very good! If you don’t want to read all the trackball reviews on this website, just buy this one and send us a postcard of your honeymoon days with this sweet Marble trackball, you won’t regret it.
The CST2545 is a high quality trackball, made in the USA by Clearly Superior Technologies. There are several CST2545 variations available, I’m testing the top of the range model, the CST2545-5W (GL) L-Trac Glow Laser Trackball with blue glow trackball (how cool is that!).
The Japanese Sanwa Supply Wireless Trackball Pro MA-WTB40R is not the most pretty device in the lineup of trackballs, but not a bad choice for someone who wants a large and wireless trackball. Available in Red or Black.
The Adesso iMouse T1 is a very basic trackball mouse. One of the few trackballs that is not made by Kensington or Logitech, it’s not bad but we would opt for a Logitech Marble or Kensington Orbit with Scrollwheel if you’re looking for an affordable trackball.
Beware: this trackball is much bigger than you would expect. It has the shape of a normal mouse, but it’s almost twice as long!
